Presents our next project

Dreams of America

In celebration of the United States 250th anniversary, and in the honor of our time-tested history of open dialogue, we are organizing an evening of entertainment and conversation. Dreams of America is an evening of performances that capture the complexity of the modern U.S. through a series of two to five-minute “modular” presentations. By blending spoken word, music, satire, and multimedia, the production will strive to mirror the country’s many voices, allowing a wide range of lived experiences and artistic forms to coexist within a single performance.

The project explores the evolution of the American Dream and the differences between our shared myths and current realities. With a flexible structure that allows for local artist contributions and audience input, the piece emphasizes that the American story is a collective, interdependent effort.

The goal of the evening is to help begin a conversation about our common ground and to explore what it means to be a citizen in an ever-changing nation.
